Break-in??

As long as you've got a hundred or so initial, careful miles on it, drive it like it's yours. 

When we had our '06 GTI, on the way home from picking it up from the dealership, some jackass in an Eclipse was challenging my wife to race. He was blowing his horn and yelling out his window at her. She got annoyed by him, stomped on it and didn't let off until she could no longer see him. She told me this later on and I was like, "You are supposed to break it in a little bit you know."

She did.  As long as you avoid constant speed and load you are fine.  The Audi I test drove is the one I bought.  Pedal to the metal on the test drive.  I had to check out how well the Quatro system worked in the rain.
