On Halloween I bought a Monster. Found it on eBay far out on Long Island. Went to see it and went up the to door as a bunch of little kids in costumes were just leaving. Said 'Trick or Treat' and the seller said, 'Wanna buy a Monster?'
It's a 2002 620ie dark. Only has 4500 miles showing on odometer. Unfortunately I only got one black key which, I understand a duplicate cannot be made from. So I have to not loose it. Anyone know anything about circumventing the 'key chip' technology?
I have a few other bikes.'44 DKW NZ350, '69 BSA 650 Firebird Scrambler, '77 Kawa KZ650 and my passion, a '52 Vincent- 1000 cc Rapide Motor in a Black Shadow frame. The problem is none of them work. So I needed a bike I can ride while I work on the Vincent.
So far I'm lovin' the Monster. I got some handlebar risers so I can sit a little more upright. Got a front fly screen and seat cowl that are red, so I'll have to paint them black. Still looking for some stock mirrors to replace the handlebar end ones.
Cheers, Vinnie Ducati

Welcome!
I'm not sure if pre '02 had the whole chip thing, but other's with that year will know. www.monsterparts.com is a pretty decent place to find parts and feel free to throw your mirrors up for sale when you get new ones. A lot of people prefer the bar end mirrors.
Also, there's the local boards to the left with some fellow New Yorker's.

Welcome and congrats on the 620! waytogo

Glad to hear you are enjoying it so far.  So many people here replace their mirrors, I'm sure it won't be too hard to find stock ones.

We love bike pictures so please feel free to show off (any of them). Grin

Oh, and here is the link for the New York board, definitely stop in there and introduce yourself: NYMMC.

have fun! [moto]

Welcome!

I have a set of stock mirrors off my '06.  If they fit, I can make you a great deal on them or would be willing to trade for the bar ends (mine currently only has one on the left).

Welcome to the forum Vinnie.  If you're looking for trade your seat cowl, I have a DARK seat cowl with brackets, I'd be interested in trading for your red one.  My cowl is in MINT condition.
