So I've got a new clutch pack sitting here. Before I throw it in, I just want to be sure of something...

I notice one of the friction plates has a '1' on one of the cogs... can't find it or similar markings on any of the others I checked... what's that about?
AFAIK there is no 'order' required, so long as you alternate the Steel & Frictions in a S-S-F-S-F-S-F-S-F-S-F-S.
...also the steels all have a semi-circle notch out of the outer circumference, should that be aligned in any special way, or can I just ignore 'em and throw 'em in any-which-way?

also, what's the recommended 'break-in' for a new clutch pack before I go clutchin' up some wheelies?  [evil]

Well, as I can't find any info on anyone bothering to align any of the plates to anything, I assume it's safe to say 'it doesn't matter, just throw them in, in the correct order'

There should be a bent plate somewhere in the middle. I forget the exact spot. I think it's supposed to be
S-S-F-S-F-B-F-S-F-S-F-S
The bent one is meant to help your pack separate when you pull the clutch.

Not all clutches have a wavy/bellville plate.

What brand/model of clutch pack do you have?

The order you have : S-S-F-S-F-S-F-S-F-S-F-S will work.

That stack should be about 1.50" thick.

Give it at least 100 miles or so before hammering on it.
