I'm not sure how many other Stern fans are on here, but I'd recommend the book.  Something of a quick read and written in a somewhat unconventional style (think of Gary's speaking manner), but pretty moving at times and certainly interesting.  Gary has always seemed like an open book and a pretty down to earth guy, and it is cool to see some of the behind the scenes drive and work ethic that got him to where he is.

Does the book come with a pack of chicklets (aka - gary costume) so you can play along?

Long time fan.  I didn't make the switch to satellite radio though. Thanks for the heads up.

I was a fan of Howard Stern since his DC101 days.  I lost interest when he divorced his wife, married a model (not super model) and started living "the life".  He was much more entertaining  when he was a regular married shmo with a pia wife.  imo.

I always liked Gary.  A stand up guy by Stern standards.

So if it reads likes his speaking manner, does that mean the book refuses to shut up even when you put it down?  [cheeky]

I hope the eventual audiobook version is done by Howard doing his Gary voice.

I think the audio book is done by Gary. They have a contest of who can cut it up and make Gary say the best stuff.

I actually think Stern has been really good since he's on Sirius.
