Polymer sprocket carrier

Anyone use, or know anything about, the Ducati polymer sprocket carrier? It is supposed to smooth out power transmission, but I'm wondering if any downside to it.

No experience, but sounds like a bad idea to me. There are cush drive rubbers in there anyways, why would you want your whole sprocket flexing back and forth under 90 hp on and off the gas?

Well, it's (obviously) going to strong enough to handle the power going through it.
I thought the real benefit was the separate metal "teeth" you buy that attach to it. Supposed to make gearing changes possible without removing the rear wheel.

Except the chain is pretty universally on the swingarm side of the SSSA
