I ride a 2003 gsxr 600 and I'm looking to use a duc monster tail in place of my stock tail. I was wondering what the difference is between the 1100 seat and the seat on the smaller bikes? Also has the seat changed over the years? If so, how has it changed?
Thanks in advance,
Sean

M696 and M1100 are the same AFAIK.

All M600, M620, M695, M750, M800, S2R800, M900, MS4, MS4R, MS4rS, MS4Rt, M1000 and S2R1000 seats are *basically* the same.
Pretty sure the change in early model seats was in MY2000, latch configuration and the shape of the front of the seat.

Cool, thanks for the help. I take it since the seats are the same then the cowls are interchangeable?

the new monster cowls will fit on the 696/796/1100 stock/low/comfort seats as well as some aftermarkets that are made for it.

AFAIK, all cowls that are Non-696/1100 are interchangeable.

The OEM Monster seats don't rate real high on comfort, many owners switch to Sargent or Corbin aftermarket seats.
