Hope this isn't a derby. Cool write up in Cycle World about Honda CRF450 powered Mito!

Looks like fun! [thumbsup] [moto]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

very cool...last thing I had heard about the Mito was that they had a carbie version of the Husky 501 motor in it but were looking to see when they got the kinks worked out so as to put a Fuel Injected version of that plant in em for production for to meet Euro3 specs and whatnot...

super-mono..... almost?

Definitely a cool build.  7/8ths frame would be perfect for my short ***.

This is the first bike I ever rode on <3

Ducati just needs to do it, an honest to goodness mono. not a half V like the supermono.
sub 325 (keeping it realistic) / 50hp+ (again realistic and for longevity)

I am all over that idea!!! [thumbsup] [moto] [clap]

ain't happening

After Husqy got sold to BMW and that deal is over.   For a while, they floated the idea of putting a Hyosung twin in it.  In response, everyone emailbombed CagivaUSA and said "you suck".

The Mito 500 is DOA.

IT's a real shame, I think.  If someone could make a 300 lb 450-500cc thumper that looked like the Mito, it would sell like crazy.  I think the emissions crap would make it no lighter than 350 though, but the least they could do is provide weight "if emissions equipment happen to fall off"

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I'd be a likely buyer for such a morphed Mito/Supermono re-do if it ever happened. Ducati doesn't currently make anything else I would want. But I'm sure that market would be extra small and not economically viable.
