So i replaced my left hand switch with an after market and it does not have a fast idle switch. Any suggestions on what i should do with the cable? is it possible to cut it short mod my own switch or some type of pull/push handle? Any direction would be great this is the first duc. Thanks guys

If you can find one, the old 748/916 throttles had a little fast idle push button so you could still get a fast idle without a fast idle control.

If you want to hook up something to the fast idle cable, I just used an old choke lever attacked to the frame.

Something along these lines:

Google "classic motorcycle choke lever" and you should be able to find something if that ebay part doesn't work out.

This is what I have on my Monster. Push the button in while warming the bike up. Twist the throttle forward and it clicks off.
