I searched but didn't find anything.

What are the recommended services at 36k?

Second, when should I start thinking about replacing the battery?

There's a chart in my 96 manual that might be helpful.

Should I scan and post it?

if it's not too much trouble.  My manual doesn't list anything like that.

The way I read it is you want to do everything listed for 6, 12, and 18K miles.

thanks dp.  I going to attempt the 36k myself, at least most of it, and looks like most of it I can do myself.  The valve adjust will be the biggest outlay, me thinks.

anyone have a suggestion on this?  My bike seems to start up fine, even on cold mornings, but I'm thinking it's probably a boiled frog type of situation.

You're on borrowed time with that battery. ;)

If that's the original battery, you've gotten way more than average service from it.

I bought the bike in '07 from the original owner.  If he maintained the battery the same way he maintained the rest of the bike, I have to presume it's the original.

Good to know, thank you.  Shorai, here I come.

Anything else at 36k I should consider swapping out while I'm at it?  I see those shiny coils CA Cycleworks sells now and those are making my bank account tingle.

I'd consider greasing the swingarm pivot bearings.

Requires removal of the swing arm.

If you have a different on you can swap. ;D
