master cylinder rebuld????

i am rebuilding my Brembo Clutch master  coffin shape for M750 with a genuine brembo repair kit and although i have got thr piston and internals out the metal seal retaining ring which is not a C clip is still in the front I reckon a pick may be needed to get it and the plastic shield and rubber seal out but i want to confirm best method of removal and replacement if anyone has done this before
