Has anybody checked the compatibility of the exhaust cans for the 696 and 1100?

Thanks!

Yes they are the same.  [thumbsup] Different midpipe, 1100 has flapper valve 696 does not.

BUT.. which 1100 are you talking? new evo is different.

tell us more... we are inquisitive folks

WetDuc

The cans are not from the evo, they are the old style ones that are like the high mounts.
The EVO has the streetfighter exhaust, right?

the evo has the Diavel exhaust

WetDuc

That's what I meant...the diavel exhaust...the funny looking exhaust....
But the ones I am asking about are the conical ones that came stock on the 696 and the earlier 1100's.
Glad to hear they are the same, though.

I'm pretty sure it only looks similar. In fact no part of the exhaust system is quite the same for the two. The Diavel has a Desmoquattro engine, while the 1100 Evo is a Desmodue. Also, if you look closely, the Evo's finals are perfectly parallel, while the Diavels are somewhat diverging from one-another.

I think we got the gist of what Raux was getting at, but for the pedantry out there maybe he shoulda said that the evo has a diavelesque exhaust...   [roll]
