RPM Signal on a fuel injected bike?

I need to get a good RPM signal on an 07 695.  It has a SuperSeal connector instead of spades so it's a little tougher to get a good connection. I have the injector wire and the ECU wire coming off the coil, should I just tap into one of those or is there a better RPM reference?

EDIT: You guys left me to my own devices for too long ECU signal wire (either gray/blue or gray/green depending which coil you splice into) can be spliced into and pulls a reliable tach signal. Might want to stick this, extensive searching didn't find me anything.
