I like it. I use it. I really don't care if others do or don't. I don't post up the random stuff I do all day. I do post up things I'm doing if I want people to join me (and then delete them after). Works really well for that. I don't play the games or shit like that. I'll hang pics on it as it's easier that emailing it to 20 different people. And, they can check whenever the hell they want. The "msg" function is easier than emailing 1/2 the time as it's less likely to have crap attached to it. Their IM function has just about taken the place of AIM, YIM, etc. When it goes video, it'll completely replace it.

I'll leave it open on my home computer if it's on. It's also on my phone. I don't spend a lot of time talking on the phone. So, between that and text messaging. I get what I need without having to deal with the pleasantries and formal stuff when you call. In fact, the only people I call are generally the parents and family or when I need to give real time directions and don't want the delay. I don't answer my phone at the bar or when I'm with people socially unless I'm expecting something. But, I will steal away 5 seconds to send a reply to a text if I get one.

Umm.. not quite. "Woman runs over cousin over guy" - Which prolly happens quite a bit. Only reason she knew was that she found out on FB. And because it's "facebook" it made the news.

I'd be inclined to agree with you, but there are some really messed up people out there!

I don't blame FB for divorces. I credit FB for exposing the idiots willing to put their info on their to be used against them.

Facebook:  make the beast with two backsin up marriages since 1999 (or whenever the hell it was started.  I don't feel like opening up another tab)

I think that's it. The article wasn't about divorce rates going up. It was about evidence farmed from social media sites being used more often in divorce proceedings. It's the same as the idiots who get binned from work for ranting within a few mouse clicks from their employers. Don't put it on the internet if it'll come back to bite you later.
