Finding a shop to make the simplest pair of brackets ever?

Where does one go to find such a shop?   The brackets I need made couldn't be easier.  They are straight, with "machining" done all from the same side - its something I could grab a piece of sheetmetal and and some tinsnips and make them myself, but I want the edges to all be crisp and finished looking.   I need a pair of thin rectangles, with three holes each: Two 8mm holes, one 6mm hole. I can't fathom the reasoning in the costs the eMachineShop quoterizer is providing me.

I don't know what they are quoting, but typically the price for one or 2 is very high, since 90% of the process is a programming setup for the machine.  Once that is done, the price per set drops like crazy.

they use to make all that stuff by hand. just go at it with a belt sander and a good eye, itll look pretty damn rounded and neat.

If you're ever in ontario we can run upto my friends shop and use his lazer cutter to pound them out

Did the shop have a water jet machine?

Getting something fabricated can be a pain in the ass...

If you cut it and smooth it out, getting the part powdercoated can make it look much much better.

I made some brackets for my gauges and they were rough looking and not pretty. Had them powdercoated and they looked 100 times better. The powdercoating smooths out the edges and covers small dings and blemishes
