Landscape lighting?

Anyone DIY before?  Suggestions for nice fixtures that won't break the bank?

I need approx 12 pathway lights, 3 spots for trees (narrow) and 3 spots for the house (wide).

I had picked up some inexpensive Solar lights. they were ok, but I should have bought the midrange.
I really like the idea of Solar, look into it
