I've removed the frame sliders off my bike and installed a new front engine bolt, Given that this is a fairly cruicial bolt I want to ensure that I fasten it correctly. Couple of quick questions
1) According to my workshop manual the bolt is fixed with a nut only, no spring washer or washer , am I interpreting the manual right??
2) what is the correct tightening torque, and is there a need for any threadlocker?

Thanks

Howie

45 Nm or 33 ft lbs, spring washer under the nut.  It is a good idea to recheck the torque after a few hundred miles

The spec on my '07 M695 is 60Nm with Grease B.

Found a factory manual image for a 620 (unknown year) that shows the same.

Is 45Nm correct?

+1 on checking the torque once in a while.  I added the check to my oil change list.

60 Nm. is the correct figure.  Thanks for the correction.  I will PM Ollie.
