Never heard of this before. My blinker switch is stuck to the left. It moves almost to center but not quite. I can push the button in but it does nothing since the switch will not go fully to center

Sounds like the detent moved out of place and won't let the lever move back.

This thread  http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=46473.msg849149#new

has some good pics of the assembly even though the thread is about the horn button.

Something similar happened to me.

Use the thread mentioned above to take the thing apart, clean the signal lever off then put a little grease on the ball bearings and spring. Put it all back together, being careful not to over tighten the screw that holds the switch lever in place, and you should be good.

If that doesn't work....
What bike do you have? I have a left hand control laying around that could have your name on it, free of charge.

Guans for all the tips. I took it apart and found a piec of plastic jammed in there. It broke off the threaded section of the top bolt.I cleaned it out. There is still about half the thread in there so I locktighted it as put it all back together
