For those who run straight pipes or exhaust tips; baffle-mini muffler question

Hey folks long time lurker here with a question;

Took the cored mufflers off my M750 and I love the look and sound, however on decel it makes a pretty embarrassing gurglish? sharting kind of sound and its probably just a *little* too loud...

Would rather not use a glass packed exhaust tip as suggested in other threads...

Has anyone attempted to insert a small baffle such as these; http://www.jcwhitney.com/motorcycle-baffles/c14675j1s17.jcwx

directly into the header pipe?

This looks interesting too but it seems it would really clog things up;

I built pipes that bolt directly to my header and finish off into glass pack exhaust tips.  There are plenty of crappily made resonating tips out there.  Hedman's to be exact.  They aren't built well, and probably won't hold up.  I used Hooker Headers resonating exhaust tips.  My bike sounds super throaty and loud, but not crappy.  Much more refined than straight pipes.  I posted a build thread years ago, but I can't find it.  I'll redo it soon.  I took vid so you can get an Idea.  The audio is meh because I used my phone instead of my good camera.  You get the idea though.

Yeah it was way easy and cheap, but the results were great!  initially I had everything clamped together, but with the expansion and shrinking of the metal with the temp changes, it just didn't suit me.  So I just welded up the assemblies.  two bits of exhaust parts from autozone/pepboys/o'reileys/whatever on each side, plus the exhauat tip.  a few scraps of miild steel sheet for hanger brackets and I was set.  I've pulled up to several places and folks thought I cam in on a harley.  It's got that low rumble.  Much more racy sounding though.  Especially under engine breaking.  That's when it sounds evil, in a good way.  Revving at a stand still is cool, but you don't get the real feel of it, or the good sounds till you are accelerating under a load.  I get lots of smiles, and even more looks.  Can't tell you how many folks have rolled DOWN their windows at intersections to hear it all out.  Bike is currently at the shop getting the periodic maint. completed, so I will finish the vid when it's back.  Using old pics I took of the first one I made.  Teh one on my bike is my second attemp.  The first one i put on my brother's bike.  Sounds just as good.
