These guys are semi-local to me: http://www.starlandmetals.com/grills.html

A friend of mine (who had some input on the design) has one of the small ones. They are built to last forever (heavy gauge stainless, quality components throughout). His has sat outside uncovered for the better part of a decade and still looks new, works great, makes a great steak.

I'm considering a small one of these versus the Weber Genesis, as I like to support the underdog (and don't really need the outer burner). And I've seen and used one firsthand.

Well if his could withstand almost a decade of abuse and still work like the day it was brought home, I say bite the bullet and invest! From the pictures they look pretty rock solid and I dig the way the knobs are recessed and the wheeled platform is a bit wider (possibly for stability?)

Sturdy they are.  [thumbsup]

The casters are industrial grade (I think they're better than what's on my cheap-ass engine stand), as is the rest of the hardware. Hmm, I see they offer free shipping now, which they didn't last fall.

I think my decision has been made.....

I've got the genesis without the outer burner. (E310) The E320 has the burner.
