Help with Japanese Ducati VIN

Hey, I want to run a VIN check on my (supposedly) Japanese M400 import. I've looked at most of the posts on VIN decoders, but the lay out is a bit different. * ZDM - Letter,number,number, - number,letter,letter, - number,letter,number - number,number,number - number,number *

Ok, let me word this better -  Has anyone had any experience with a frame number like ^that^? Is there anyway to run a free check to see if it's stolen?

yea, that formula is good, it's how all the pre 02 euro spec stuff was. No idea on running a check though.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
