My wife's wet-clutch 620 monster doesn't suffer those problems you mention - if anything it feels like the stock slave moves the pressure plate too much.  Very little lever travel needed to go from fully released to fully engaged.  The lever pull is very light and smooth so no worries with effort.  I think a slightly larger-than-stock slave would improve engagement feel possibly as would stiffer springs to help reduce the effect of the aptc system.

that was my impression too - until I checked disengagement on a rear stand. It feels like it's disengaged, but it's not. I have the invoice for a new clutch to prove my point [cheeky]

Just wanted to report that I installed the Oberon slave cylinder and I am quite happy with the results.  I do notice an improvement in clutch action and was quite impressed with the quality of the item (purchased thru monsterparts).  It was nice to see some clean fluid in the reservoir--hope it stays that way!  Was impressed with the tech info at monsterparts.com as well.  Jeff was quick to answer any question and the parts were received super-quick.  I think this is a great upgrade and fairly simple installation.  The bleeding of the system was the only "tricky" part, and that wasn't too bad.  Happy trails!

The clutch fluid will still turn black.

Death, taxes, and black clutch fluid.

Not necessarily.  I put an oberon slave on my SC about two years ago, and the clutch fluid is still "clear".   Who knows though, maybe the garden gnomes have snuck in and purged it for me a few times since the install...
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.
