Hi everyone, I am trying to find a steering damper for my new bike but am unsure of what clip ons I have and which steering damper will work with them.  I see that alot of people like the Matris M2 but they have been discontinued and I do not know what others are available.  So my question is twofold what clip ons do I have and can someone recommend me a good steering damper for my 2000 M900.  It does not look like I have the complete stock bar clamps is that correct?  Here are the pics:

Thanks in advance.

Stopping by to wait for responses.  I'm looking for a steering damper as well, but have been considering a side-mount like one of these: http://www.ducatiperformance.com/ohlins-ducati-monster-side-mount-steering-damper-p-149778.html?cPath=22_29_156

What are the pro's and con's of each?

They look like the woodcrafts, since they are two piece construction.

Most top mounts I've seen are mounted on top of the two piece riser/clamp assemblies found on newer bikes.
Even if you find one that fits your bike, it won't be very stable without the handle bar to keep things together.

Side mounted is more rigid and works more directly, frame/fork. That's better, but doesn't look as good.

im gonna guess Apex clip-ons based on how the bar mounts into the clamp

also if you decide on a side-mount damper, LSL makes one that is only $339

I say go to the track without one.  It will make you a better rider.  Spend the money on something pretty :)

what he said.  you'd want a side mount and monsterparts has em for a great price and i think jeff has one specifically for your bike in stock.  monsterparts.com

those are defentaly not woodcrafts.  i would guess lsl or attack performance.  dampers are un needed if your suspension is set up right.  My race bike doesn't have one and doesn't need one. [bacon]
