Freeing up the throttle?

Hey all.  I have always had issues with throttle hand fatigue when on the freeway and need to maintain a constant throttle position.  Even after 10 miles I have to continually adjust my hand position to relieve the discomfort.  Last night, I took the wife's V-star out for a long trip and loved how smooth and easy the throttle was.  I have read about different gloves and grips and the like but was curious if there was something that could me done mechanically to loosen it up on the monster?  My cable routing and everything seems fine, maybe I'm just a sissy, lol  :P

Loose? Well mines plenty 'loose' it just requires a very light grip to actually turn.

Like all things, the throttle controls can get gummy. I'd see about cleaning and lubricating the area of the throttle cam, on the throttle bodies. Also lubricate the actual cable with some dry-slide or similar product. Also make sure that there's nothing gumming up the throttle tube on the bars.

There's also a lot of gizmos you could try. An inexpensive but popular one is the Throttle Rocker

Clean and lubricate the throttle grip assembly.

I've seen *very* few bikes that haven't responded completely to that.

Good call guys!  I removed the cover at the throttle grip to get access to the cable.  Lubed the cable as well as the guide channel and its free as can be.  I feel like a dumb ass not checking that and an even bigger one for riding around the last few thousand miles with a sore hand.  Just took it out and what a world of difference.   So much so that I am going to have to be careful until I get used to it.
