So not only is this wrong on so many levels for the little girl, it's also questionable conduct on behalf of a 'coach' to a 'player'.

She's teaching her daughter that it's OK to cheat and to be a cheater.

I used to think this way about steroids and baseball (any pro sport really), but I have recently changed my mind.  It is cheating in the Olympics and collegiate sports, but not in the pros.  The Olympics are about sportsmanship, competition and everything great about sports. 

To me, pro athletes are entertainers.  They are not role models, ambassadors or any different than Brittany Spears in my mind.  If people like seeing homeruns, then it is their job to take steroids to keep the masses happy. 

I also think that dolling up your little girl is the most horrendous "competition" in the world.  The don't compete in these events to teach their children about discipline, work ethic and sportsmanship.  What other beneficial life lesson is learned other than "if I look good I can be a completely hollow person?"

hey everyone don't judge how others raise their kids you are allowed to raise your kids however you want, that least that is what everyone always says until "someone else" does something they dont agree with then you want child services, and gov to come in and tell them how to parent. you can't have it both ways. sorry.

but i have to say this is hilarious.  who cares, so the kid is messed up in the head at a young age, and having botox and such,  .  that is what you get when you get stupid people raising kids, but that is their problem not mine until they commit a crime. 

and to the person that thinks the olympic are about sportsmanship, competition and everything great about sports, those values left the window the first time a gold medalist got a million dollar endorsement deal, 100 million dollar tv right to the olympics, etc.  sorry but olympics are just as much about money as pro sports since many of the sports are feeder systems into the pro ranks, they are just better at marketing the whole "purity" aspect that is now a crock.

you want to see the purity of competition and sports, go watch a bunch of people that are nowhere near being pros and have no dreams of ever being great at a sport because they lack the real talent to do so and they know it, and they will never make a dime off the sport or gain any prestige from winning, and then you will see the purity of sportsmanship and competition and sport, only problem is that the actual game will suck. but that is your purity there.

you know, as much as this pisses me off, i agree with sbrguy on his first point.  people don't want to be judged but they will judge others.  

that said, there is 1 thing that COULD (maybe) be considered a good lesson for her daughter.  the mom could be teaching her daughter that you can't have limitations if you want to succeed and you can't let anyone stop you.  
now this can be interpreted as bad as she may end up stepping on a lot of people to get ahead, but what CEO hasn't?  and what CEO isn't considered successful?   not that i would teach my own kids this...but to each his own i suppose

if the daughter succeeds in life, then i'd be shocked but hopefully she doesn't become a wreck.

Um, I'm gonna go with........professional athletes aren't 8 years old.  


Oh, and the athlete is usually the one making the decision to "perform better", not their mother.

No, you're not allowed to raise your kids any way you want. I'm pretty sure that's how children's social service workers stay employed.

That being said, I do believe that the laws regarding disciplining your child have gotten way too strict. But c'mon, injecting your child with a drug that could cause heart problems and misalignment of the eyes, among other things, just to win a make the beast with two backsing beauty contest is wrong.

Apparently, the whole Botox mom thing was a hoax.  The mom was paid by British tabloids to follow interview scripts and sticking with the story.  Good Morning America got wind of this and paid her money to get on the show to tell all.  One thing lead to another, she is now confessing... 

Don't know what's worse - actually injecting your daughter with botox or lying on national TV about injecting your daughter with botox.  Either way
