power comander on a 02 620 monster ie

Has anyone put a power commander in this bike... the website lists every year but 02 i have asked both dynojet and fast by ferracci... dynojet says ask ferracci...ferracci on the other hand wont answer... it seems like the commander would be compatible, any reason why it wouldn't?

Sorry you haven't received any answers. I think most 620 owners wanting to go faster either get a bigger motor or a bike that has a bigger motor rather than modify the 620, that's probably why no experience and no answers.

If FBF hasn't responded to emails, can you call them? That sometimes works as many companies just don't seem to be responsive to email questions.

yes i have a pc3 on my 620 2003 model which should have the same FI system as the 2002 but check,

it works fine, i had a dealer dynotune my bike and fix the airfuel when i put termi slip ons on the bike, i really didn't need it as i didn't open up the airbox but for peace of mind i had it put on.

basically from the dyno that mine was on, it appears that stock the bike was putting out 56-57hp at the wheel and then after the pc3 and the slip ons it was putting out 59.5 at the wheel basically getting it to the stock numbers of the hp at the crank listed stock, so it has a small hp gain which you don't notice but more importantly the fueling appears to be good overall, and i still get 50+ mpg on the highway.

a bigger bike is definatly in the works.. the power commander is the easiest way for me to tune the fuel without having to run to the dealer... i justify the money spent in the assumption that i will never likley sell the bike because of its low value...

I put a PC3 on my girl's 02 620. I believe it was from an 800 that was a few years newer. Worked fine. It bugged me too that there was no mention on PC's website bit it worked fine

Then we stuffed a 900 motor in it and changed the electrics, but that's an old story that's been covered long ago...

If you look up industrialgrrl it's her bike. It's the one with the gasmask, you can't miss it.

If you throw on the PC3, it's best if the bike is properly tuned and then thrown on a dyno...
