Buying a Used Fuel Tank for M1000

While picking my Guzzi from a local motorcycle shop (that used to carry Ducati about 5 years ago) I spotted some Ducati Monster tanks in the back storage area. I've been wanting an extra tank to play with.  One of the tanks appears to be a match to the tank on my 2005 M1000. We did some comparisons to my tank and it appears to be a perfect match. It does not have any gas gap or other hardware. The shop owner says I can buy it.

What is the tank worth?

I wouldn't offer any more than a couple hundred, the internals are gonna cost you a few bucks.

i wouldnt pay more than $200 to be honest. unless it came with EVERYTHING and all you needed to do was bolt and go and it had no rust, perfect paint, id pay $300 max.
