Need to buy a new crank for the honda. Heres the whole story in a jiffy... its a honda parallel twin motor

Pistons have some wear from slapping the crank. The left piston rod is no good.

Anyway my question is which should I buy? a complete crank with rods and bearings from a single engine (the seller says it is in good condition). Im not sure if i can reuse my pistons. He is wiling to do $50 + actual shipping.

or should i just buy a seperate crank, separate rod and pistons, and separate bearings? I did find a whole piston, cylinder sleeve and rod set for dirt cheap. but i have no idea what hte condition of it is.

Id mate those pistons and rods to this

So do i buy the frankenstein parts or go with a full set from the same bike nad perhaps get new bearings?

just a silly dumb question...but...have you searched for a whole motor at all?

yup. cant find one locally and shipping is too expensive on one.

and i run into an issue of how do i know the next motor was treated in such  a way where the crank is about to go? I kinda figure it happens from bikes that havent had their oil changed or just used crappy oil.

I tried looking for a running donor bike, but the bike is being moddedy so extensively nothing will be useful for me. so its either wait for a new motor or just fix this one up.
