Theft proofing help needed

Early last Sunday some lowlife stole my new battery, the rubber thingy under the battery and the electronic ignition modules from my 2000 750M.  Though not very clear I viewed on the surveillance DVR  that he lifted up the tank without removing seat and apparently was able to remove the items from the side.  I'm guessing he was a pro because he was able to do it in less than five minutes including unscrewing the Allen bolts that attached the battery cables.  On my bike with the steering column locked and seat on I can still lift tank ~3 inches.  New parts ought be here Friday but I fear he will return.  What can I do?  Parking elsewhere is not really an option.  It is free, directly in front of my building and I can watch her from my computer with the surveillance cam.

Fit a gatlin gun to the cam?    Swap for a plastic tank that's expanded so much you can no longer unlock the latch?

More seriously, what about a note that says smile for the camera! or something along those lines? Give the vid to the cops, maybe they can figure out who it is - any tag number etc visible?  Watch the cam live and kick is butt when you see him next?

It is a low resolution camera roughly one picture every two seconds though the neighboring building may have a megapixel camera.  Our system was installed mainly for slips and falls.  I guess (after 2.5 beers) I will try and form fit a piece of hard rubber or even wood to fit between the tank and clip on.  I can not see myself pulling battery and igniters every evening.  Now I'm wondering if the igniters I bought on ebay are stolen.  I have been parking her there for the last six years and the only thing ever stolen was the cargo netting last year.  Yes Virginia, life is hell.
