Guys-
I'm in the home stretch getting a number of mods on my M900 (has been my baby for many years but jusy now getting proper carbs).

I've finished the gusset removal for clearance to the carb /cable assembly.  The Motion Pro cable and throttle tube came with the FCRs, but they feel cheap to me.  Also, as I have clip ons mounted below the upper triple. . . AND a radial master brake, space is tight on the right bar.

So, I've tried to fit the Motion Pro cable which seems a little long to me, and it naturally routed in front of the head tube, and back beneath the headlight.  The throttle housing didn't allow for an easy entry and looked awkward.

So I have two questions.  If anyone is running a similar clip-on /radial / FCR combination, what was your method of resolving the cable?  What length cable did you ultimately put on?

Second question is that I have a 999 throttle tube / assembly which routes the cables further from the bar, and should make routing easier as it's over the radial lever.  If I decide to do this, I'll have to get a custom cable made by Motion Pro.  Any suggestions on length?  Or suggestions on how to ensure I measure correctly?

Thanks for any info.

do you have split or banked FCRs? did you buy your kit new or used? the monster's used a shorter cable than the SS's do, but if you have the split FCR's i think there's only one cable for that.

i can post pics when i get home how i have mine. on the bars i have the cable input/output on the backside of the bar. in the 9 o'clock position if you're standing on the right side of the bike looking at the bar

in my experience the cables for the monster fcr kit was too long as well  i ended up purchasing the cables for the SS and they were perfect ( i have clip ons as well) the cables for the SS i believe are actually shorter than the monster cables
