it does beg the question: what do they
really
smell like?
Oh eww!
Decades ago I worked with a guy who I swore doused himself with a half bottle every day of some kind of stink.
His smell would linger for hours after leaving the open office area. It was awful. As bad of a smell as a smoker's.

i'm thinking that if i smell like exhaust, oil, and fuel and a chick dug my scent i might marry her.
My fiancée built her own first car in high school, a 67 mustang fastback. Oil, fuel, and exhaust works on either of us

all odors are particulate
so you are stuck with the stink molecules
in your nasal and sinus passages
something to contemplate...or not

We're not using this opportunity to figure out what other moto-branded cologne would smell like?
HD = essence of state fair. Notes of something not normally deep fried that has been deep fried, inexpensive Pilsner-style beer, and porta-potty chemicals.
BMW = mildly caustic detergent and French flop sweat

Well, that's certainly not true. Some are gases. Think hydrogen sulfide.

i think that should have been directed more towards the molecular level.
ie. when you smell a fart you have fart molecules landing on your nose and tongue

quarks, neutrinos, electrons, protons, neutrons etc.........particles....atoms.......molecules.....H2S....rotten eggs smell and death
The terms "particle, particulate" are problematic in that they have variable meanings in a given context i.e. a sub-atomic particle is not the same as a dust particle....but all matter is comprised of particles at the sub-atomic level
please no physics!!!
