Fat Duc fail

I recently installed a Fat Duc 02 manipulator on my '07 695, partly due to high temps (as recommended per other threads). It seemed to have dropped the temps a bit and more notably, really smoothed out the whiplash from accel/decel.  Yesterday, after riding to work, I hopped on the bike at the end of the day and it didn't want to idle nicely -it needed choke for what seemed like a long time, despite being in the 80+ degree sun all day. A bit after taking off, I realized the accel/decel chop was back with a vengance. I checked the dial on the Fat Duc and it was still where I had left it. Any thoughts on why it seems to have reverted to pre-Fat Duc install? It was riding like it did before I installed the unit and I had everything smoothed out. The connections seem solid, the unit still looks brand new and nothing has changed on the bike at all.  I'm really puzzled....

did you check the wiring connections that you made?  maybe something came loose?

Yes, everything is solid. It uses the same wiring connector/plugs that mate with what's on the bike. They seem like good, solid connectors.  No apparent damage, either.

Just wanted to check here before contacting the dealer, in case this might be a known or common issue. I need to get it our for a few more rides this weekend to see if it's still misbehaving. If so, I'll give the dealer a ring.

I have had my FatDuc on my S2R1K for a couple of years now, but have not had the problem you describe.

Occationally, it will idle high (2K) and not drop to normal idle even when warm, but a restart fixes that every time. That happened before I installed the FatDuc as well though.
