S4R Exhaust pipe - is it stainless or mild steel

Could someone tell me what the exhaust pipe is made out of - stainless or mild steel - its the two pieces of exhaust pipe that are in the shape of a "S" and go between the Udder and Mufflers on a 05 S4R - they also have a small heat shield attached to them.
