strange hi-beam indicator when RPM increases

SOOO... got her all buttoned up and.

while riding home the hi-beam indicator came on. not the actual light, just the indicator.
but only above about 1500-2000 rpm (on the road couldnt check actual)
stop at a light, rpm goes down, light goes off.

if I switch to high then low beam light goes off for a bit.
at first I thought headlight wiring but the rpm tie is confusing me.

recent work. new lightweight flywheel put on. so i'm worried I did something wrong in there.
Bike rode home about 45 min so the alternator is working, no way a battery would have carried me that far.

well.. put together a short test ride today... no light... seems the issue is water ie rain and lots of it. soooo i'll check all the headlight connectors again

actually might have been a loose connector on the dash. this morning the dash was dead and no start. wiggles connectors, came on. took it apart, reattached. no issues.

need a forehead slap icon.
