Compatible bar clamps/risers with this top triple??

I've just aquired an Arrow top mount steering damper and mounting kit for an S4R monster that I would like to mount to my 2000 M750.

I believe that the S4R's came with thicker bars, thus spacing the mounting holes on the bar clamps further apart than the earlier monster (can someone verify plz).

I either have to use the stock bar clamp/riser and drill 2 holes in the top plate so I can mount the triangular bracket that mounts to the damper, or maybe I can have an aluminum spacer machined the same height as the stock bar clamp to eliminate the use of the stock clamp?  sounds confusing???

Attached is a pic of the top triple I have, does any other bar clamps work for this?

thanks,

S4R handlebar clamp/riser bolt spread is ~38mm.
Your 2000 is ~32mm.

The bolt spacing on the keyswitch looks to be the same, but the distance between that and the steering stem center is ~10mm different.

Could be made to fit, but not easily.

does anyone know if a later model top triple will be interchangeable and work with my original lower?

Later model ( ST-style; 2001 S4 and all 2002 later) is not compatible with early style, offset and stem diameter are different.

Darn, looks like I'm stuck with either a stock riser/bar clamp OR I go the custom route and get a machine shop to make something up for me out of aluminum so I can mount my steering damper.
