Is it alright to store new tyres for use in 12/15 months or will they deteriorate somehow during that time?

keep them out of the sunlight and away from temperature extremes and they should be fine

Thanks Dan.  They're stored in near darkness in temps between 14C > 30C.

Electric motors create ozone, so I'd keep them out of a boiler/mechanical room too.

Tyre - a port in southern Lebanon on the Mediterranean Sea; formerly a major Phoenician seaport famous for silks....

How are you going to store this?  :o  :o

get some black heavy trash bags, toss in a moisture bag (the mil surp type, big 4oz bags), squeeze the air out and tie the top.

if you really want them to keep forever and ever, get some VCI poly wrap.  it's like saran wrap.  just mummy up the tire and it will essentially be new forever.

+1  Sunlight is a killer on tires.

I do the garbage back trick and put them in the basement for the duration.

I tire of such unhelpful suggestions...  ;D

And anyway I dont have to go as far as the Middle East, Tyres is much closer to me than that  >> http://experience.gippsland.com/Townships/Default.asp  ;)

Thanks to everybody else though  [thumbsup]
