Engine case savers for 696?

What engine case savers would you recommend for the 696?
I noticed that no one seems to make anything for the generator/alternator side. Speedymoto said that this side rarely gets damaged during a spill.

I already have frame sliders, but I was reading numerous articles in Sport Rider, Motorcyclist, etc... where they rave about R&G / GB / Yoshimura case savers.

I was wondering if this is recommended for the wet clutch side of my 696 engine, and if so, what brands would you recommend?

It says it is a countershaft sprocket guard. I've seen this before, lots of vendors offer a front sprocket guard, apparently to prevent the chain from tearing into the alternator cover if it snaps. But my 696 came with a plastic sprocket guard - isn't that sufficient?

How well do the plastic ones hold up if they're bolted to an aluminum case? I'm curious about how much the fastener torque changes in the process, unless it is made of metal with a plastic coating.
