I have oil blowing out the filter at the top, rear of the crankcase. A lot of oil is blowing out once I get going on the highway. I cannot figure out why and desperately need to fix this ASAP. I would appreciate any ideas. Thank you.

Possibly the reed valve in the breather valve is broken.

Or you've got a severe blowby problem in the engine; broken piston ring(s) or the like.

Thanks. I'm about to take the filter off and take a look. This happened once before about six months ago on a long ride. Did it once, briefly, and hasn't happened again until now. I haven't changed the way I ride either.

Did you recently change / top off the oil?

If it's overfilled you can get the same problem.
I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...
