hi everyone,

So i just got some nice looking clip on handle bars installed, and would like to clean up the speedo and tach setup on my 2002 Monster 400 (japan) ... but the guy at the shop says that its not possible as the speedo tach assembly has a special chip in order to start the ignition of the bike... but i see all sorts of bikes with speedo modifications... how are they doing it??

ideally i would like to get the speedo into the headlight assembly i saw a post on here of someone who did that...  otherwise small speedo and tach would work great..

a dream would be a single analogue speedo with a digital speed readout.. now that would be awesome!!

and tips??
