5mm 1100 EVO oil drain plug

Are there any decent aftermarket replacements for the silly 5mm oil drain plug in the 1100 EVO?
I looked around for magnetic M12mmx1.5 plugs, but the stock one has a kind of odd long stem, which the ones I have found do not have.
Also, what is the torque spec for that thing?

Today I did the first oil change (at 597 miles), and the magnetic plug had nothing (and I mean, nothing) on it, besides the oil  ;D
And it's not that she was baby sit. Next break in, harder!
The 5mm thing is just stupid though. Today it was really hard to get out, and I had cold sweat at the idea of the thing giving up.

I have the TPO version X 2.  They have a 12mm hex head and a crazy strong magnet.

Don't overlook Corsair for reasonable cost billet bling.  They make frame plugs with no advertising and the cam lock tool is great if you want to change timing belts.

hey guys, couple of days ago i bought the 12 M1100evo..
im planning to do the 1000km service on my own since i think its a waste of money to bring it to the dealer..
today i was looking at the oil drain plug..  :o its behind the exhaust pipe... WTF lol
what tool did u use to take it out ? did u have to make a hex key shorter or smth?
how did u reset the ``wrench`` for maintenance?

It's not that one  ;D
It's the other one. The utterly small plug. I bought one of the above (do not even remember which one). Much better than stock, which you feel you might be stripping the head at any time while removing it (or putting it back).

hahah really?!?! i saw the one underneath but i was like eh thats too small .. coz on my 02 m750 is bigger , similar to the one thats covered by the exhaust pipe..
no, im not worried abt stripping the head .. (im careful) when it comes to working on my bikes :))
u didnt tell me how did u get rid of the maintenance wrench icon on the dashboard?

I don't think it's about being careful.  It's about the fastener socket being undersized for the removal torque.  Also the aftermarket units have crazy strong neodium magnets whereas the stock magnet is just lame.
