i can't decide if this is a concern, but better safe then sorry.

i decided recently my clutch feels different.  at first i was thinking its just because i'm not used to it after taking most of the winter off.  after selling my car last week, i've been riding every day.  i still think it feels.....off.

from memory, the clutch used to grab in the middle of the clutch 'travel'.   now it feels like it doesn't catch until i almost fully release the clutch.

could it be the pressure plate?  i was thinking the clutch lasts a lot longer.  i have 27,000 miles on the bike.

at first i thought replacing the clutch fluid was in order, but now i think of it, if the fluid was bad or full of air, i should have to press the clutch tighter, not looser.  right?

I can't be sure if yours is normal, since I have no way to feel your lever, but they do grab towards the end.

when was the last time you replaced your clutch fluid?....just on the principle of general maintenance it should be done if it has been longer than 2 years and I bet some level of clutch feel would be different on that alone...

It may just be from the plates wearing a bit.  As the pack gets thinner, it will disengage with the lever further out.  You will know when it is time to replace your clutch pack when you feel it slipping under full throttle acceleration in 1 or 2 gear.
