+1 on a better housing. Any housing!

It was the fuse. I thought I was done with those "ah the fuse" moments 
... and I ruined a perfectly tight housing to investigate 

I'm still worried about the 23 w bulbs creating problems though.

What the hell am I going to do to find a replacement housing? Junk yards?

Mine has the same cracks, on the side of the front bezel, from where the seal has been pushing it.  It's bloody annoying crappy design.

What we really need is someone with CNC to make the front section in aluminium.  They'd be instant millionaires.
