Ducati Performance Low Seat Warranty

Just learned on BARF that Ducati is doing a free exchange for the Ducati Performance Low Seat due to premature wearing of the fabric. Mine has 2 years and 7,000 miles on it and it is wearing away *everywhere*.

Update.

Took the bike with seat to my Ducati dealer (Peninsula Honda Ducati, AKA Motor Cafe) and Danny (IIRC) took pictures, mileage, VIN number, etc and shipped it off to Ducati. He did warn that since it was between Christmas and New Year that Ducati may be slow in responding...

Will provide update when notified!

Conclusion!

Ducati warrantied my seat, and replaced it free of charge. Woo-hoo!

I also wanted to point out very good customer service at the Motor Cafe at Peninsula Honda/Ducati. Dan the Parts Man said that if Ducati did not replace the seat he would sell me a replacement at his cost. He wanted to make sure the Ducati experience was good, and for that I thank him! But, Ducati Performance came through and I have a new low-slung seat. If anything, the new material is even grippier than before so I have to make sure my ass is planted where I want it when I ride - no sliding around on this one!
