gauge

can this be fixed or is it a lost cause...

I just got this speedometer gauge in the mail and the needle is off on the right can this be taken apart and put back on or is it a wasted?  It looks solid the whole piece and the glass looks like its impossible to remove..

I have a pic of it but can't figure how to load it on here.

any thoughts?

If it's an electronic gauge then it shouldn't be a problem, as it should reset when turned on.

opening the gauge will allow moisture in if you leave the bike in elements at all. if ya gotta do it, ya gotta do it. just know that you will need a new gauge down the road.  using some silicone to seal it and letting it dry will help.

if the needle is still attached but not zero'ed out it will re-align when you turn the bike on.
