Clocks on s4

I don't know if anybody else has had this problem with the electronic clocks on Ducatis before but the past few weeks here in Ireland have been quite wet and I was caught out in a few heavy showers and for over a week the duc sat in the garage and the next dry spell we had I went out for a spin only to find the lcd read outs on both clocks not functioning the speedo and rev counter were both working so I took the clocks apart to find damp in the housing so I left them over a radiator over nite and put them back together using vasiline on the rubber seal around the clocks and there working fine again. P.S I don't run the duc with the fairing attached possibly for this climate this might be sensible precaution any thoughts.

am i supposed to read yer whole post in one breath because if i am i don't think I've got the lung capacity because I've been smoking cigarettes since the fifth grade and they contain carbon monoxide among other things that would put me at a disadvantage against someone like a freediver or magician or an opera singer for that matter and yes I have managed to collect moisture inside of a digitech clock and made the rash decision to use an aerosol electronics solvent to speed the drying process which in turn reacted poorly with the plastic components despite the plastic safe claim on the label which means that in the game of life where punctuation is merely an eleven letter word and patience is a virtue,  you win.

I think you should put a dessicant baggy like what comes in your shoes inside of the cluster for absorbing moisture....either that or some rice...

What a terribly good idea.  My gauges have become rather brittle (and they're only five - wtf!)and have a number of small cracks around the seal where they've been stressed.  They're no longer particularly watertight.
