I have a 2011 monster 796 and was wanting to upgrade my exhaust system. I was wondering if there was a big difference in performance from a full exhaust system vs a slip-on? Is the performance in the full exhaust system worth that extra $ grand or two?

I'd say it's worth the extra money if you're looking to get absolutely everything out of the motor... otherwise, slip-ons give you look/sound/spare cash for other mods.

are there any full systems for the small bikes? I've only ever seen stuff for the larger ones

I'm in the same boat with a 2011 796 and am wondering the same things.  So far, what I've read is swaying me towards the Termi slip ons.  I don't need any more power for commuting but I would like a little more noise so I'm more easily heard in traffic, but don't want it to be deafening.

Would the Termi Carbon slip-ons be a good choice for that?  Any suggestions on the best price on them?  Thanks. ...Steve

Take a look at the exhaust thread for more details.

Yup, I've read through most of that thread but not being a "Monster expert" yet, I was hoping for a simplified answer to what I need.

Do I just order the Termi Carbon slip ons and they come with a new ECU?  Install it and I'm good to go?  A lot of the info posted is for other bikes and I want to make sure I'm looking at the right stuff for a 2011 796 ABS and my local dealer isn't sure what to get either.

As far as price, how much is a reasonable price to pay for the carbons and whatever else I need to make it work?  THanks. ....Steve

My Termignoni slip-ons came with an ECU (1100 EVO).  Just swap out the ECU's and you should be good to go.  When you turn on your bike, the digital tach will say Ducati 796 Race instead of the regular Ducati 796.

Do you mind if I ask where you got them, and a ballpark price?  Not sure where to find the best deal on these for my 796.  Thanks!  waytogo

I was looking at the sc-project full exhaust system and it's only $1050.00 but its only one can instead of two. If it does the job it's worth it. Does anybody have this system on their monster?
