MY STARTING ISSUE SOLVED!

I'm posting this here so everyone can see.  It would have been more proper at the end of some already lengthy post about starting issues in which everyone throws in their two cents about what voodoo magic they did to fix their starting issue. However, posting it like this will be more noticeable and probably clicked on first than the former method.

My starting issue is common and can be found in detail in a few other posts.  My issue was solved by purchasing different gasoline.  I used to purchase my fuel on base, where it was cheaper and unknowingly diluted.  It was recommended that I try getting fuel off base, so I chose chevron.  My starting issue has since gone away.  I was told that the fuel on base has water in it and thats where the starting issues came from. Who knew? I suppose I could use the scientific method to figure out for sure but switching gas for a while seemed easier.

Please post if anyone else has success with this method. At least then we can see if there is a trend with fuel, if my case was a fuel related anomaly, or if the common starting issues are something else.

I'm glad you got it sorted.  Water in your gas causes LOTS of problems - see the plastic tank thread here.  Chevron was my favorite gas when I lived where you could buy it.  I wouldn't be surprised if 'on-base' gas has lots of ethanol/water for some kind of EPA test to see how much they can get away with lol.  The more ethanol they add, the more water they can mix with it.  For $4 a gallon it had better be Perrier with lime.
