Suspension tune - tweaking rebound

Bike - KTM 690 Enduro, fit with 17" wheels. Front set up is doing quite well - rear is almost there but needs some rebound tweaking.

The rear tire after the last track day is showing a bit more wear on the leading edges of the sipes which research tells me is a rebound issue. But nothing I've found so far says if more damping or less would be the path to follow. Aside from that, both tires have the nice 'sandy beach' wear to them

Based on the look of a tire with really bad leading edge wear - that one needed more damping as it was basically bouncing. So extrapolating from that it would seem I need a bit more rebound damping. But I'm extrapolating, I don't have a hard "this must be the solution" feeling to it

Any thoughts? All are welcome, even "dude you're running stock stuff on that bike - it'll never be just right"

I'd have to see it...

Uneven wear in between the sipes usually means  too much rebound damping.

Back it off a click or two and try it. [thumbsup]

If you've made compression damping adjustments since the old worn tire you can't really compare the wear.

It'll be the same compression and tire.

AFAIK a heightened leading edge and a rounded following edge = too much rebound (and vice verse)

I had the opposite and was able to adjust it for track use, only to discover that the situation was reversed on the street.

Makes sense - generally these bikes are over damped and increasing would put it almost to the 'sport' setting recommended by the manual. Which is too stiff.  2 clicks softer it is
