Hello all,

I'm new to the forum and I am looking for assistance for my 2012 M696.

I recently installed Rizoma grips and handlebars.  In the re-installation process, something must have fallen out between the microswitch and the lever, as there is no way the pin on the microswitch can reach the lever to have the brake light switch off.  Now, the brake light won't switch off.  Any advice as to what is missing?  Any description would be of assistance so that, hopefully, I can just carve something out.

Again, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note, thanks to everyone for all their great advice on the forum.  Definitely a huge help when deciding on what upgrades to choose and how to do what.

Respectfully,
Cartney

There's a tiny pin that goes between the two

Any idea what it looks like or what the part number is so i can hopefully order a replacement?

Thanks for the assistance!

a piece of welding rod with the flux removed is the right diameter, then you cut to length.  There was a thread about this a few months back...

If you go to ducati.com - dealers and services - maintenance, you can download parts catalogs.

There you might find that the part # is 1954 0021A and when you, as one of many, call your dealer they will tell you it costs about two dollars and of course you order extra.
