Just some standard questions for a future track day.

1) Do you need DDA for lap timer functionality.
2) What the heck does the DDA do / provide?

Hopefully someone with this feature can enlighten me.

Anyone? I have a track day scheduled next weekend. Guess I'll do some tinkering this weekend.

How did it go?

First trackday so there was a lot of learning for me to do. I stuck with c group for a lot of the morning but switched to B closer to the end of the day.

I figured out how to use the lap timer but focused more on riding that timing myself. It's like abs. If you want to activate it, the function must be turned back on again thru the menu everytime you turn on the bike.

Very small twisty track so monster holds its own with the big boys (straights excluded)

Thunder Hill 2-Mile West (Expanded straight verson)

No wonder they moved you up a group. [thumbsup]
Round up those squids!

So the lap timer function was self explanatory via the manual or a pita?

The manual does help but its just not intuitive as some button presses require a delay and some dont. You just have to get used to it. Lap timer functionality is for 30 laps total before it starts overwriting the first lap

Trigger is the high beam indicator for starting a new lap.

I'm going to check my HM manual in detail when I have time.

Good grief EEL!  They should have bumped you out of C before you finished the first lap.
