Alex Karras was a larger than life character. I believe he was number 3 on the ballot for the Heisman as a defensive lineman. Played 12 yrs in the NFL. If you've never read 'Paper Lion' by George Plimpton, give it a read. (or rent the movie) I grew up watching him play. RIP
